Mike Thomas, president of California Horticulture Landscape Construction in Campbell, says he's noticed an increase during the past few years in the number of homeowners installing outdoor kitchens. Not just barbecues, Thomas says, but also storage and cabinets, bar units, warming drawers, sinks, brick pizza ovens, woks, refrigerators and wine coolers. Basically, he says, anything you can have inside you can have outside.
